Privacy Policy

CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "PC Remote Pro" app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Our Core Principle

PC Remote Pro turns your phone into a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard and presentation remote for your computer, and shows your phone's screen or camera in a web browser on your computer. Both work directly between your phone and your computer: the remote over Bluetooth, and screen mirroring and the webcam over your own local network. None of this passes through our servers, and we do not receive any of the following:

  • The keys you press, the pointer movements you make, or the text you type
  • The picture of your screen or camera, or the sound sent with it
  • The names and Bluetooth addresses of your computers, your macros, or your speaker notes

The only information that reaches us is described in Section 5: crash reports, the purchase records that Google Play provides, and emails you choose to send us.

2. Bluetooth Remote

On the touchpad, keyboard, media, presentation and shortcut screens, the app sends the key presses, pointer movements and text you enter to the computer you paired with your phone.

  • They are sent only to that computer, over Bluetooth. We do not receive them, and the app does not keep a record of what you type or send.
  • To show which computers you can connect to, the app reads the list of devices already paired with your phone in Android's Bluetooth settings. This list is used on your phone only.
  • When you tap "Make this phone visible", Android asks for your confirmation and then lets nearby computers find your phone for a short time, so that you can pair it.
  • The app does not scan for Bluetooth devices and does not use your location.
  • The air mouse and the laser pointer use your phone's motion sensors (gyroscope). The sensors are read only while the touchpad or presentation screen is open, and their readings are turned into pointer movements on your phone. They are not stored.

3. Screen Mirroring and Webcam

When you start screen mirroring or the webcam, the app runs a small web server on your phone. It sends the picture of your screen or camera, and the sound if you turned it on, to web browsers (or programs such as OBS and VLC) that open the address shown in the app on the same network: your Wi-Fi, or your phone's hotspot or USB tethering.

  • The picture and sound go directly from your phone to that computer. Nothing is sent to the internet or to any server of ours, and the app does not record or save the picture or the sound.
  • The server accepts connections only from addresses on a local network, such as your home or office network. Connections that arrive over the mobile network are refused before a PIN is even asked for.
  • The PIN is on by default (a random 4-digit number at first, which you can change to 4 to 8 digits). While the PIN is on, the picture cannot be watched without it. After the correct PIN is entered, the server gives that browser a cookie so that it can keep watching without entering the PIN again. The cookie contains no personal information, is used only by the server on your phone, and stops working once all sharing has been stopped.
  • OBS and VLC cannot show a PIN screen, so the address for them can include the PIN. Anyone who has such an address can watch, so keep it as private as the PIN itself.
  • To slow down guessing, the app remembers, in memory only, the network addresses of devices that enter a wrong PIN, and blocks a device for 30 seconds after repeated wrong attempts. None of this is saved.
  • The connection inside your network uses plain HTTP and is not encrypted. Use these features on a network you trust, and keep the PIN on.
  • The server runs only while something is being shared. Turning off screen mirroring or the webcam in the app, or tapping Stop in the notification, stops that sharing, and the server closes once nothing is being shared.
  • The page on your computer has buttons to save a snapshot or record a video. Those files are saved on that computer by the person using it. The app does not receive or keep them.
  • Each time you start screen mirroring, the app asks Android for permission to capture the screen, and Android shows its own confirmation screen. "Send sound too" sends only the sound that apps on your phone play and allow to be captured.

4. Information Stored Only on Your Device

  • Settings: the settings of the remote, screen mirroring and the webcam, and the appearance of the app.
  • Computers you have used: the name and Bluetooth address of each computer, the operating system and keyboard layout you chose for it, and when it was last used.
  • Your macros and speaker notes.
  • The PIN for screen mirroring and the webcam.
  • Whether you have bought Premium: a copy of Google Play's answer, so that Premium works without a connection.
  • Records the app keeps for itself, such as whether you have finished the introduction and when it last asked you to rate the app.
  • The list of our other apps last downloaded, and their icons (Section 6).

Settings, macros, speaker notes, the Premium status and the list of our other apps may be included when Android backs up your phone or moves your data to a new phone. The list of computers, the PIN and the app's own records are left out, because they only make sense on this phone. You can remove a computer with "Forget this PC". Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of this from your phone.

5. Information We Receive

5.1 Crash Reports

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). When the app crashes or stops responding, it sends a report with the device model, the Android version, the app version, the part of the app where the problem occurred, and a random identifier that Firebase assigns to this installation of the app. Reports do not contain what you type, your screen, your camera picture or any sound.

5.2 Purchases

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase made through Google Play. The app asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Premium. We never receive payment details such as card numbers. Google Play provides us with records of orders (such as the order number, the date and the item), which we use only to verify purchases and to answer inquiries about them.

5.3 When You Contact Us

If you use "Contact us", or send feedback from "Rate this app", the app opens your email app with a message that already contains the app version, the Android version and the device model (and, for feedback, the star ratings you gave). Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself. We receive your email address and the contents of your message.

5.4 Information We Do Not Collect

  • What you type, press or point at on your computer
  • Your screen, your camera picture or any sound
  • Your location (the app has no location permission)
  • Your contacts, photos, files or phone number
  • Statistics about how you use the app (the app has no analytics service)

6. Our Other Apps

The settings tab can show a card that introduces one of our other apps, and has an entry to "Our other apps". To show them, the app downloads the current list of our apps and their icons from our page on Cloudflare Pages (adblockerpro-lists.pages.dev).

  • The download is a plain request for a fixed file, and the app adds nothing about you or your phone to it. As with any request on the internet, Cloudflare's servers receive your IP address and the standard information Android sends with a request (such as the Android version and the device model). We do not use it to identify you.
  • To choose which apps to show, the app uses your region (from your SIM, mobile network and language settings) and checks which of our apps are already installed on your phone. This is done on your phone and is not sent anywhere.
  • If you tap one of the apps, Google Play opens with a link that tells it the visit came from this app. The link contains no information about you.

7. Permissions the App Requests and Their Purposes

  • Nearby devices (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE; Android 12 and later) — to work as a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, to connect to the computers paired with your phone, and to let your computer find your phone when you tap "Make this phone visible". The app does not ask for permission to scan for devices (BLUETOOTH_SCAN) or for any location permission. On Android 11 and earlier, Android grants the older BLUETOOTH and BLUETOOTH_ADMIN permissions when the app is installed; they are used for the same purposes.
  • Camera (CAMERA) — only while the webcam is running.
  • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — only if you turn on "Send the microphone" for the webcam or "Send sound too" for screen mirroring. (Android requires this permission to capture the sound that apps play, too.)
  • Screen capture — only while screen mirroring is running, after you agree on Android's confirmation screen.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS; Android 13 and later) — to show what is running (the remote, screen mirroring or the webcam) with a button to stop it.
  • Foreground services (connected device, screen capture, camera, microphone) — to keep the connection to your computer and the sharing running while you use other apps. Android shows a notification for them while they run.
  • Vibration (VIBRATE) — for the alerts of the presentation timer.
  • Internet and network state (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — to run the server on your local network and find your phone's address on it, and for crash reports, Google Play, the list of our other apps (Section 6) and showing this policy in the app.
  • Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING) — to buy Premium through Google Play.

8. How We Use Information

The limited information we receive is used only for the following purposes:

  • Diagnosing and fixing crashes
  • Verifying Premium purchases
  • Responding to inquiries
  • Complying with applicable laws

9. Third-Party Services

PC Remote Pro uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy.

  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — crash reports (Section 5.1)
  • Google Play Billing (Google LLC) — the purchase of Premium; payment is completed on Google Play
  • Google Play In-App Review and In-App Updates (Google LLC) — the app may ask Google Play to show a sheet for rating the app, or to check whether a newer version is available. A rating or review you leave there is handled by Google Play like any other Google Play review.
  • Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) — hosting of the list of our other apps (Section 6)

10. Data Retention

  • Crash reports: retained for 90 days, then deleted.
  • Purchase records: kept by Google Play under Google's terms.
  • The picture and sound of screen mirroring and the webcam: never stored by the app.
  • Information stored on your phone (Section 4): kept until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in Japan. The infrastructure used for crash reports, Google Play and Cloudflare Pages may be located in various countries. When you use the Service, the limited information described above may be processed outside your country of residence under standard contractual safeguards.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you reside (e.g., the EEA, UK, California, Japan), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited information we hold. You can:

  • Remove a computer from the app with "Forget this PC"
  • Uninstall the app or clear its storage to erase everything it stored on your phone
  • Turn off any permission at any time in Android's settings (the features that need it will stop working)
  • Contact us at the address below to make a request regarding the information we hold

13. Children's Privacy

PC Remote Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your region). If we inadvertently collect information from such a child, we will delete it promptly upon being contacted.

14. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version is always published at this URL together with its effective date. We will also notify you within the app of significant changes as appropriate.
